Of course, your staff are not necessarily the first thing you think about when you are considering what to do for Valentines day, but at Scout we are suggesting you spare them a thought this year.
A major factor of staff happiness is recognition from your manager. Often, all it takes is a pat on the back and a well placed ‘thank you’ to really boost your staff’s confidence, pride in their job and the company and to make sure they know those extra hours they had to work for no extra pay didn’t go unrecognised.
Same goes for your Clients – At Scout we do love our Clients, they are a fab set of people but without being ‘suggestive’ or ‘too gushy’ maybe send a quick email this Valentines to the Client or give them a quick call – not to discuss some urgent piece of work that needs signing off, but just to say hi, ask them about their weekend plans and to wish them well.
I have actually followed my own advice this year and raided Hotel Chocolat for the staff members!
